La Famia Stroke Services provides fully trained caregivers for those who want the finest non-medical, in-home care and support.
La Famia Stroke Services provides comprehensive non-medical companionship home making and personal care services. We are committed to providing the most compassionate and respectful care possible.
These daily tasks can be tailored to the individual’s needs and can be increased or decreased as required.
A stroke is a life changing event for many people who will be suddenly left unable to manage the basic household chores and personal management they used to take for granted. Often a person is left with a weakness on one side of their body (hemi-paresis) which limits their ability.
La Famia Foundation has specialist and trained support staff who will assist the individual in their own home so that they can maintain as high a degree of independence as possible.
La Famia can provide the following: Services can be tailored to the individual’s needs and can be increased or decreased as desired.
La Famia can provide the following:
- Help with getting up in the morning, showering or bathing and getting ready for the day
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Monitoring of medication
- General housework and cleaning including laundry and ironing
- Help with bedtime
- Assistance to visit shops or friends
- Night sitter service
- Any other support duty of a non-clinical nature that is necessary to help people live safely and comfortably in their own home.
La Famia is conscious that for many people a stroke means a significant change of lifestyle. Our trained carers are empathic to the needs of their clients and will provide reassurance and support to families.
La Famia is a family centred charitable foundation that provides a range of social and support services designed to enhance family life and independence of the individual.
It is funded by La Famia Business Partners that donate a portion of their annual profit to the Foundation as well as donations from individuals, bequests and user part charges.
People using La Famia services may be entitled to financial support and subsidies.
